Fengate releases its 2025 Labour Impact Report

Fengate’s latest Labour Impact Report covers significant progress made throughout 2025, and highlights the positive effect of Fengate's investments on the generation of union work hours and economic impact for local communities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Fengate and Building Up launch “Building Her Up” Scholarship

At Fengate, responsible investment starts with people. Our long‑standing commitment to responsible labour practices, strong workforce development, and inclusive employment practices reflects our belief that long‑term value creation depends on skilled, supported, and respected workers.

Building on this philosophy, Fengate proudly launched its inaugural “Building Her Up” scholarship in partnership with Building Up, a Toronto‑based nonprofit social enterprise that prepares individuals facing barriers to employment for careers in the skilled trades.

Fengate releases its 2025 Sustainability Report

Fengate recently released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing how the firm continues to integrate responsible investment across its infrastructure, private equity, and real estate strategies in the U.S. and Canada. The report demonstrates the progress we are making across essential sectors while reinforcing our focus on resilience, disciplined capital stewardship and meaningful outcomes for the communities where we invest.

Fengate continues to invest in critical assets addressing needs in housing, healthcare, digital infrastructure, and energy transition, while evolving its approach to climate resilience, sustainable design, governance, and transparency in reporting.


Fengate advances BOMA BEST certifications across residential and commercial platforms

Fengate continues to make strong progress across its portfolios through the BOMA BEST program. The Fengate Commercial Income Fund (FCIF) and Multifamily Income Fund (MFIF) remain actively focused on maintaining and advancing certifications across key assets, with an emphasis on energy performance, tenant engagement, and operational best practices. FCIF assets currently pursuing certification include: 1213 International Blvd, Northgate Business Park (Norjohn and Mainway complexes), alongside MFIF’s 20 Monte Kwinter.


315 Allendale Buildings A&B achieve LEED® Silver certification

Developed by Fengate as two modern core and shell industrial buildings totaling more than 463,000 square feet, 315 Allendale reflects Fengate’s commitment to delivering high-quality industrial space with sustainability and long-term performance at its core. Features such as high-efficiency heating systems, low embodied carbon building materials, a highly insulated envelope, and LED lighting throughout support reduced energy consumption and strong long-term building performance. This certification is the result of a collaborative effort. As we continue to grow our industrial portfolio, we remain focused on creating efficient, resilient and sustainable spaces that deliver long-term value for our tenants, investors and communities.


Fengate’s community gardens in full bloom

Fengate kicked off gardening season this spring with its community gardens program, now active across the portfolio. The program includes five FCIF community gardens delivered in partnership with MicroHabitat, alongside an urban garden at 20 Monte in Toronto and a garden at 1140 Wellington in Ottawa. These spaces are designed to foster tenant and resident engagement while strengthening connections with nature and community.

Fengate’s property management teams continued to strengthen tenant and resident engagement across the real estate portfolio in H1 2026 through a range of wellness, sustainability, and community-focused events. Initiatives included virtual yoga, Earth Hour and Earth Day activities, community garden workshops, tenant appreciation programming, and seasonal events such as Meet the Bees, Seed Bar workshops, and native planting initiatives.

GRESB reporting

Fengate has submitted its 2026 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) assessment, with results expected in H2 2026. The submission builds on strong 2025 results, including FCIF earning a score of 87, a four-star rating, and Sector Leader recognition, while Development Fund III completed its first official reporting year and MFIF completed its grace period assessment
